January 15th

You'll never find the right person, if you don't let go of the wrong person.

Letting go is never easy. It's something we must learn; through time, and patience, and perserverance. In any kind of relationship, we build our character through experiences.

If you think about the reasons you are holding on, ask yourself... is it worth it? Will this matter in a year? Is this affecting me negatively? Is this affecting the other person negatively? Ask yourself questions that need to be answered.

I've met many people in my life; good and bad. I've let go of a lot, and held onto more. However, I feel like I hold on to memories more than people. It has made me who I am, so therefore I choose to hold on to the experience and move forward in a positive light. I miss some people, but for the most part, letting go was the BEST decision, although the hardest.

As this new year is coming into play, look at your relationships of all kinds and decide if you should let go or hold on. Surround yourself with positive people that will add uplifting memories to your timeline.

And always remmember...
When you let go of something, it creates room for something brand new.

  1. I really dig this blog.. I'm actually in the process of teaching myself to let go and move forward again, for a mintue I was stuck in the negativity and bringing myself down. Thank goodness I looked at the big picture and realize something good is about to happen and there is no need for me to hold on. thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed your blog.
