It's time to start training!!! This is one on my Top 3 Goals for 2012! The marathon is in July and I am running a Half-marathon! Check out my personal website: Jibby On The Run for more info on how to donate and get involved!!
I've been thinking hard about what charity to support and raise money for and I have decided on a wonderful charity that will not only affect teens now-a-days, but children in the future as well! The charity is called LETS: Let's Erase The Stigma. I have personally dealt with friends and family dealing with stigma. I think we all have. And it wont stop until we start doing something about it. 100% of the proceeds go to this charity and I know will impact the world one child at a time!
Click on the video below to get a better understand ing of the LETS charity and foundation! Trust me, it will be worth your time!
I appreciate the little things others did for me as a child and I feel it is only my responsibility and honor to give back to society! I have hope in the future!
If you are at all able to donate, even $10, it would mean the world to me and all those that will be helped by the LETS foundation!
Thank you for your love and support!

I decided to learn how to meditate and do it for at LEAST 15 minutes every day. Little did I know how hard it actually is to do!!
Studies have shown that meditation has many positive effects on how we live our lives, treat people, deal with problems, and care about our health. It's worth the time to learn how to meditate and do it on the daily.
I know I'm just learning but the first time I did it I had moments of pure "nothing" on my brain and it was an amazing feeling to be completely thoughtless!
Click on this link, learn about meditation, and start doing it. I promise it will be worth it!

Wow, time sure has flown by. It's the end of the first month of 2012. How are your resolutions going? What have you accomplished? Take a second to reflect on this past month...
As for myself, I feel like I've done pretty good.
Accomplishments:
- Written a blog entry for every day of the month (not always on time, but completed nonetheless)
- Quit smoking (currently 22 days strong)
- Finished my book for the month- "A Visit From The Goon Squad" (great book)
- Attended some form of art showcase- Humor Abuse (amazzzing)
I accomplished all the goals I set for the month. I'm very proud of myself. I've put together a list of goals for February:
- Read a book
- Start my health-kick & training
- Write my blog entry daily, and not get behind at all
- Delve into my fundraising process for my Half-Marathon
- Attend some form of art showcase
Those are just a few. I have found it easier to make monthly resolutions than to make yearly resolutions because those are harder to track. If you work month-to-month you can really keep a good eye on what you're doing.
I wish you all the best of luck on your February goals!
HAPPY FEBRUARY!!

We are human. We get stressed. Shit happens.
The hardest part of the battle is figuring out how to handle it all, because as we all know, it wont go away. Stress is just a part of life.
I can say that at this point in time, I am currently stressed with multiple situations in my life. But I have to make the choice to not lose sleep over it, and to deal with it day by day. Most things we stress about cannot be fixed in one day. The easiest way to deal is to create a plan, stick to it, and not dwell on the situation.
And if you think about it, stress is a reminder that our life has value and importance. So, remember that when you you get stressed. It's a blessing in a way. That uncomfortable reminder that the choices we make are important so we should handle them carefully.
Endulge in stress. Make the best of it.
And just like DESSERTS, the more you share, the less you get of it.

Seriously, I never know what to say in a legit argument (really because I dont like to argue) but once it's over I replay the whole thing in my head and I have the most clever things to say AFTER! Ugh! Haha! Anybody else have this issue?

I'm not sure why I feel the need to share this today. This is a very personal experience I have only shared with select few. Please respect this post.
The Heart On My Wrist
I thought about you today; not because I wanted to, but because April 25th is "Free Love Day". The day when you draw a heart on your wrist and share love with the depressed and suicidal. So, like I said... I thought about you today.
A year ago, if you told me you'd attempt suicide a year later, I wouldn't have loved you any different. In fact, I would've just strengthened my heart a bit more so I could get through it. I literally gave up my life for you, because you asked me to. But I never asked you to give your life away. So, don't blame this whole thing on me anymore.
Visiting the psych ward in the hospital every day for 2 1/2 weeks hurt me. You will never know what it was like for me to see you in there, so lifeless. Your eyes were so empty, so dark. It literally broke me. What did you feel when you saw that pain in my eyes? Did you even notice? I don't think you did. I tried to smile and stay positive when I was there, but the second I left, I cried. For hours. Brokenhearted that you felt so alone you didn't want to live. That's how I know you didn't really love me the way you said you did. Love wouldn't put me through this. I loved you with more of my heart than I should have. But I don't regret it, and I never will. Because when I say love, I meant it.
I don't plan on thinking about you, but this will forever be an anniversary of what you put US through. And I say US because at that very second, when you felt so alone, we were a team. I was in the room right next to you. I think that's what hurts the most. I was so close, but yet you kept me so far away.
Suicide is the only thing that scares me now; and that's only because it was as real to me as it could possibly get. I will forever love to live. And I hope you do too. I hope you're happy. I hope you're truly living. I hope you finally realize life IS worth it. Whatever IT is.
Just know that I wore this heart on my wrist today for YOU. Not because I love you, but to remind myself what real love ISN'T. I'll carefully rub off this heart on my wrist, until next year...
If any of you, or anybody you know, is dealing with suicide, BE THERE FOR THEM. Help them get help. They cannot do it alone.
Thank you for reading this.

Sometimes you really should do NOTHING. Treat yourself to a day in bed watching movies and eating snacks. Your body and mind deserves it every now and then.

Tonight is date night and we are going to see Humor Abuse at the A.C.T. Theater in San Francisco!
If you haven't gone to a play or a concert for a while, I suggest going! It an all-around better experience than flipping through tv channels or going to a smelly movie theater. Plus it makes a great date night!
Suuport the arts and all that are involved. They do it all for you, anyways!
